Regulations

  1. The musical bands which participate in the International Festival accept the regulations unconditionally.
  2. The order of exhibitions of the bands during the Festival and the duration of the exhibitions will be set by the organizing committee according to the following criteria: to give as much visibility as possible to each band, to guarantee the best outcome of the Festival and, to conform to logistic and practical necessities.
  3. The cultural association, “Padre Candido Donatelli” , as the organizer of the 10th International Festival of Musical Bands, reserves the right to change or modify the program if deemed necessary due to unforeseen causes or to guarantee a better outcome of the said Festival.
  4. The cultural association, “ Padre Candido Donatelli”, reserves exclusive rights to use of photographic and/or audiovisual material relative to the 10th International Festival of Musical Bands. The various performing groups will not be paid in any form if aforementioned photographic and/or audiovisual material is published , televised , broadcast radio phonically or put on Internet.
  5. The cultural association, “Padre Candido Donatelli”, declines any responsibility for eventual accidents or damage to persons or things for the duration of the Festival.
  6. The S.I.A.E. dues are paid by the organization.
  7. The criteria used to evaluate the various exhibitions and to determine scores are the following:
    • sonority and musicality
    • intonation
    • quality and balance of sound
    • togetherness and rhythm
    • interpretation
    • choreography
    • parade abilities
    • costumes

    The winning band will be the one which has scored the most overall points during the voting.

  8. The overall vote will be determined by a jury of experts, a jury of political dignitaries, social commentators and people in show business , a popular jury, and a camper’s jury.
  9. The awards given at the 11th International Festival of Musical Bands are:
    Trophies awarded by the Technical-Musical Jury

    • 1st Prize: Trophy awarded by the City of Giulianova and Representation plaque awarded by the President of the Italian Republic.
    • 2nd Prize: Trophy awarded by the Region of Abruzzo
    • 3rd Prize: Trophy awarded by the Administration of the Province of Teramo
    • Best Italian Band: Trophy awarded by “ANBIMA”
    • Best Parade Band: musical intrument donated by the “Mario Corso” company in Milan
    • Best Majorette Group: Trophy awarded by the Tourism Unio
    • Best Choreography: Trophy awarded by the Port Authority of Giulianova

    Trophy awarded by the Media

    • Award given by the Media: “RAI- Radiotelevisione italiana” Trophy

    Trophies awarded by the Populare Jury

    • Trophy awarded by the Populare Jury
    • Miss Festival: Gold medal “la Presunosa” donated by the goldsmith “Arte Oro” of Serena Schiavi, Giulianova
    • Best Costumes: Trophy awarded by the Lions Club

    The Organizing Committee of the Festival can, at its discretion, add other awards to the list above.

  10. Participation in the 10th International Festival of Musical Bands is determined by the acceptance of these regulations in their entirety .

All bands participating in the International Festival will receive a plaque from the Organizers.

At the end of the Festival the first three bands classified may execute a brief encore.
