Umberto Scida
Umberto Scida received the title “musical Performer” at the “Bernstein School of Musical Theater” in Bologna. He furthered his studies in “Jazz Singing and Musical Performing” at the “Guildhall School of Music and Drama” in London. In 2012 Scide received the First Prize “ PREMIO OPERETTA 2012” with the motivation”Heir to the grand operatic tradition in Italy”. He is the leading Actor and Director of the Company “Teatro Al Massimo” in Palermo, under the Artistic Direction of Aldo Morgante and was the leading Actor and Director for ten years in the historica Comp agnia Italiana di Operette. In 2012 he cuts a CD “Songs & Melodies”, a brilliant medley of “swing” and themes from musicals and films. Scida representedItaly in Japan in 2008 at “Hit Songs Festival” with Italy’s classic and neopolitan songs. In 2006 he represented Italy atthe “Fiera Internazionale del Libro di Buenos Aires” under the high sponsorship of the Italian Emassy in Argentina. He won the “XV Concorso Nazionale Di Esecuzione Musicale Città di Cento”, in the section “Musica Jazz”, categoy “Solists”. Scida interpreted the following roles: Steve in “Rent”, produced by Luciano Pavarotti ; director, Michael Greif; soloist and so-protagonist in the musical “All the Jazz”; Ponzio Pilato in “Jesus Christ Superstar”, director, Massimo Romeo Piparo; il Duca in the musical “Moulin Rouge”, directed by Ivan Fabio Perna; Tom in “No, no, Nanette!”, with Annalisa Cucchiara, directed by Marcello Foschini.
Elena D’Angelo
Ms. D’Angelo studies piano and opera with M° Anatolj Goussev and received her music diploma with honors. She degree in Literature at the University of Milan. She studied acting and dance at the Accademia “Teatrosempre” directed by Piero Mazzarella e Rino Silveri. She has been working professionally in opera and operetta since 1988. Her repertoire includes opera lirica, operetta, la romanza da salotto, songs from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s, French and Neapolitan songs and musicals.She has been the “Soubrette” of the historic “ Compagnia Italiana di Operette” and with them performs in the most important Italian theaters: Valli di Reggio Emilia, Manzoni di Milano, l’Alfieri di Torino, Al Massimo di Palermo, il Verdi di Firenze, il Duse di Bologna, il Ponchielli di Cremona, ecc. Also in 2004 she co-starred with Michele placido in “una sera a teatro” and since 2000 she has been singing with several different musical associations, among which: Pomeriggi Musicali, il Rosetuum, Accademia lirica del Rotary club, Pavia lirica, Piacenza lirica., collaborates regularly with “Gruppo Caronte” and is present each year at the concerts for the Consolato di Nuremburg. Ms. D’Angelo has done tours in Japan, Argentina e Uruguay. This year she has become the artistic director, director and leading lady , soubrette, soprano of the theater company “To the maximum”.
Dorina Di Marco
Dorina Di Marco was born in 1963 in Roseto degli Abruzzi and began dancing at the age of nine. She continued her artistic life despite many sacrifices
which were finally repaid when her dream came true: not only did she become an able dancer but also was able to found a dance school, “Isadora Duncan”,
which made it possible for young girls and boys to cultivate their passion without leaving home as she was forced to do.
She continues to participate in courses with master dancers such as Prebil, Damianov, Marcia Plein, Elisabetta Syostom , Simonetta Cesaretti and others.
Her passion for modern dance led her to study with Siv Ander, student of Birgit Culberg in order to perfect the Graham technique.
After graduating from the National Dance Academy in Rome she flew to New York to perfect her modern dance techniques with many famous dancers,
among which Max Stone and Michel Assaf. In her dance school she trains students in both classical and contemporary dance and began organizes training
sessions and reviews such as the “Festival Danza estate 89” in which Anna Paola Pace, Jean Goden and Daniela Capacci participated.
In 1990, the dance company “Professione Danza” was formed and began participating in reviews and international competitions with dances entitled
“Histoires”, “AMores”, “Why” and “l’Attesa”. Together with Maestro Antonio Scarpetti she realized “Incontri con il Flamenco”, “Contaminazioni” and “Mediterranea”
based on flamenco music “contaminated” with contemporary dance. She was the protagonist in a video with the accordion player Renzo Ruggier
and in 2003 was the choreographer and dancer in Adolph Adam’s production of “Giselle” performed in many prestigious theaters along the Adriatic coast.
