St. Kliment Ohridski Comprehensive School of Arts has a 37-year history. For this period of time it has evolved into a symbol of prestigeous education of Dobrich, our city. Every year more than 1000 students start their education here. Drawn by the quality and reputation of St. Kliment Ohridski Comprehensive School of Arts, students come to our school to strengthen their commitment to the study of arts and develop a strong portfolio for college and university admission.
The orchestral ensembles in our school of arts have been established in 1985. A part of our students study in specialized classes for music which include playing classical, folk and other instruments as well as classical, pop and jazz singing.
Captain’s band is a school band from students mainly aged between 13-18 years with a lot of willingness and desire for making music. The repertoire of Captain’s band includes pop and rock music from the 80’s and 90’s as well as contemporary composers. They are a group that has been working for 3 years already and has participated in many competitions and festivals. The band has taken an award for the best school band in Romania. Our majorette girl group accompanies the group in most their performance.
The repertoire of the Klimento Band includes works by Bulgarian, Russian, German, French and contemporary composers. What the orchestra does is mainly interpretations of modern, close to the younger generation music. We have been working with majorettes for 10 years as the girls are studying in the specialized classes of choreography. We have won numerous awards from national and international festivals in Italy, France, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Ukraine, Romania and many other countries.
