The Wind Band of Demecser “Citrom Band”

The members of the band come from Pál Gyula Art School. In 2009 the members named the band “Citrom Band” (literally: Lemon Band). This name comes from a lemon showed to the band during their first performance. It has grown itself a determining band of Eastern Hungary, the band is active participant of the events in the region. They are permanent guests of festivals, celebrations, national holidays or marching. The band received several awards and reward with stage performance, marching and its colourful repertoire. The band is operated by the Art School of Demecser and Demecser Wind Band Association. The band is member of the National Wind Band Association. Its most important successes:
The band acted for Hungary at “Allegromosso” National Festival in Italy.
In 2015 the band cooperation with Hajdúdorog Majorette Group got “The best musical band and majorettes” award in Giulianova, Italy. In 2017 the band received gold qualification in concert/ performance band category.
The maestro of the band is Zsolt Kasellák and the leader is Gyula Tibor Kiss.

The Ensemble of the Majorettes of Hajdúdorog

The first majorette group in Hajdúdorog was established 25 years ago.
They have been the members of the Hungarian Association of Brass Bands and Majorettes for 15 years and they are regular participants of prestigious festivals. So far they have achieved several gold qualifications as well as special awards for the best choreographies. In 2014 and 2015 they got “The best choreography with flag of the year” title. The majorettes of Hajdúdorog are regular participants of the programmes of their country, local events, and they also marched at the Flower Carnival of Debrecen several times. They have already performed in Poland and Romania and certainly in Italy. In Giulianova, in 2014 and 2015 they got the prize of the Italian press, the special prize of Rai television and the title “ Best Band with Majorettes”. The leader of the majorettes is Zita Balogh-Tóth.
