Halmstad Symphonic Band

Halmstad Symphonic Band is a symphonic wind orchestra consisting of youths aged 13-19, who study music at Halmstad Cultural School.

​The band plays a substantial amount of entertainment music as well as advanced repertoire.

The band competes in the Swedish Championship in Youth Wind Orchestra. In 2014 the band visited an orchestra in Norway and competed in one of their many competitions for wind band. In 2016 the band took part in the musicfestival in Bad Orb, where it played with 28 orchestras from all over Europe.

​At home the band does fundraising danceevenings in order to raise money for every educational endeavour. Its amazing parent association makes all of this possible as well as arrange Christmas and summer concerts.
