feeling2The Debrecen Feeling Majorette Association, led by Barbara Takács-Pántya, was established in 2002. We have met huge success and got the festival awards a numerous national and international festivals. We have been to each European country and even to Canada. For the time being, we have seventeen groups for girls between the ages of 3 and 30. Our group, which has been a permanent participant of the Debrecen Flower Festivals for twelve years now, has been given several prizes and awards from the town of Debrecen. The majorette groups show complex choreographies using batons, pompoms or even flags. The Feeling Dance School has been teaching this musical dance style for hundreds of enthusiastic dancers for more than a decade. The Dance School represents not only the traditional style. We teach several Latin dances. Our instructors lay stress on the overlap between the different dance styles in order to create the best motion culture possible. The Latin line filters into the majorette, as at the Feeling, the dancers use not only the well-tried equipment but also a unique feathered equipment which evokes the atmosphere of the dazzling Rio Carnivals in their performances. This equipment, made of ostrich feather, makes the performances of the Feeling unique all over Europe. All of our dancers appear at numerous balls, carnivals, village days and festivals where music is provided by one of the bands in cooperation with our association.
