The Complesso Bandistico Atessa ’87 & Majorettes was formed in 1987 and is coordinated by Maestro Antonio Zizi. It consists of 60 members with ages ranging from middle school to working adults. All have on passion in common: MUSIC!

Over the years the band has developed a vast repertory which includes jazz, blues, pop and Latin-American rhythms. The band has participated in events throughout Italy including Porto S. Giorgio(Marches), Rome, Ferrara and several times in Viareggio during the famous Carnival. In 1999 the band was chosen to represent central Italy at the International Festival of Bands in Sanremo and in 2000 was the only band to accompany the floats during the famous European Carnival. The majorettes always accompany the band and participated in the National Competition of Majorettes in Faleria. In 2012 the group was chosen again to participate in the famous Carnivale de Cento in Sanremo and has recently performed in many other events both in Italy and abroad.
