Orchestra JOVARAS was founded in 1986 by orchestra conductor and art director Ugnius Vaiginis. The orchestra performs and participates in various projects, festivals and competitions, not only in Lithuania but also abroad. Achievements reflected by successful and intense orchestra: 1992 Music Festival and Competition in Bamberg Orchestra won the Grand Prix; In 1993. Musik Festival in Europe, Luxembourg won the Grand Prix; In 2005. World Youth Music Festival and Competition in Zurich won the Grand Prix; In 2006, the band was awarded the national award “Golden Bird” received a nomination for the International shining stars: In 2010, Finland, Jyväskylä held competition of “Musical Perfomance and Pedagogics 2010″ Youth Orchestra JOVARAS won the Grand Prix In 2011. February 1st. Vilnius Children and Youth orchestra Jovaras paid tribute to the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.
